Dear MCS Families,

We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our county. To learn more about student experiences and needs, we will be asking for your child’s feedback via an online survey they will complete at school starting on Monday, January 16th.  Students will have until January 27th to complete their survey. All students in grades 3-12 will be asked to complete Panorama student surveys.

Over 1,000 schools and districts use Panorama to grow and measure their students’ life skills and supports. This helps to inform our approach and supports at the student, school, and county level.

Life skill learning captures the mindsets, skills, attitudes, and feelings that help students succeed in school, career, and life. For the Monongalia county schools, Panorama life skills measures how students and teachers are doing on life skills topics and gives educators resources to use every day in order to instruct students in life skills.

The survey will be administered online and students will take these surveys on their Chromebooks during a time designated by each school. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes for the students to complete and will ask students questions related to their life skills in areas of emotion regulation, self-management, relationships and valuing of school.

If you would like to view the surveys click on the links below or enter them in the browser of your computer. For students in grades K-2, the classroom teacher will complete for each student.
